Victoria graduated form the Royal Northern College of music. Her English National Opera debut took place in 2003 as La Charmeuse in Massenet’s Thaïs and she has since returned to perform the roles of the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Rosina in Rossini’s The Barber of Seville and Lucia in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia and Mabel in The Elijah Moshinsky production of The Pirates of Penzance , which she also performed as part of The Royal Variety Show broadcast live on television.
She has performed at the Royal Festival Hall, Barbican,Bridgewater Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall in repertoire ranging from Carmina Burana to An Evening with Gilbert and Sullivan as well as 2 tours of Britain’s major concert halls as the star of Raymond Gubbay’s Viennese Spectacular.
As the Queen of the Night she also appeared at the Hamburg State Opera, the Semper State Opera in Dresden, Frankfurt Opera, the Komische Oper Berlin and at the Macerata Festival within a new production by Pier Luigi Pizzi.
Other international engagements have included Contessa di Folleville in Rossini’s Il viaggio a Reims at the Rossini Opera Festival, Pesaro, conducted by Alberto Zedda as well as in a new production at Frankfurt Opera, Olympia in Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann, Gilda in Rigoletto and a new production of Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges at Komische Oper Berlin, as well as Last Night of the Proms with the Deutsche Kammer Philharmonie and an open air gala with the orchestra of the Paris Opera to an audience of 40,000!
Among her recent engagements: Musetta in La Bohème at the Welsh National Opera and at Opéra de Limoges, the title role in Messager’s Véronique and Quiteria in Mendelssohn’s Die Hochzeit des Camacho at the Buxton Festival, Mozart’s Davidde Penitente in Budapest, Dircé in Cherubini’s Medée at the London Cadogan Hall, her debut at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw in a concert performance of Parsifal, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni , Messiah at the National Concert Hall in Dublin with the RTE concert orchestra, Gianetta in The Gondoliers and Julia Jellico in The Grand Duke at the Internationally renowned Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in Buxton.
Recent projects include a live broadcast of Gilbert and Sullivan on BBC Radio 2 for Friday Night is Music Night with the BBC Concert orchestra and starring in two open-air concerts with the prestigious Gewandhausorchester in Leipzig, conducted by Alexander Shelley.
